A motion brand kit: logo sting, intro, outro, lower thirds

Build the moving parts of your brand once, from a DESIGN.md or a moodboard, and start every video from them.

Most brands are defined for things that stand still: a logo, colors, a typeface. Then the first videos come out, and each one looks like it came from a different company. The fix is the same as for print: a kit. A handful of moving parts that every video starts from.

What goes into the kit

  • Logo sting. The logo arriving, one or two seconds. Opens or closes anything.
  • Intro and outro. How a video begins and how it ends.
  • Lower third. A name or a title line over footage or a screen.
  • Transition. How one scene becomes the next.
  • Motion character. Not a part, a rule: calm or snappy, soft or sharp. It's what makes the parts feel related.

Start from what you have

If you have a DESIGN.md, import it in Settings › Project › Brand. Studio reads the colors, fonts and tokens, shows you what it found, lets you assign roles and keeps the original document next to the brand.

If not, fill the brand by hand: named colors, logos for light and dark backgrounds plus the mark, display and body fonts (pull them from Google Fonts if you need to), tone, logo rules and the motion character.

No brand yet?

Ask for a moodboard first. The agent picks five to eight stock photos whose light and mood agree, takes a palette from those photos, and suggests font pairs and a few tone words. The project keeps one board, rendered as a picture. Correct one part ("warmer palette") and the board is redrawn. Build the kit once you like it.

Build the parts one at a time

Make a separate video for each part, so each can be judged on its own. A good base for the whole set is the brand guidelines template that ships with remocn: a palette that pushes into typography, a layered collage, closing tiles. Name it in the prompt:

Using our brand and the brand guidelines template as a base, make a 2-second logo sting. Calm and precise. The mark draws in, then the wordmark follows.

Then the intro, the outro, the lower third and the transition.

When a part is right, save it as a component. Each gets a role: the sting and the lower third are entries, the outro is an exit, the transition is a transition. Roles tell the agent where each part belongs when it assembles a new video.

Use the kit everywhere

Saved components appear in the Components view of every project. Any new video can start with:

Use our logo sting, lower thirds and outro.

Saved components live in your library on your Mac. To share the kit with a team, keep the kit project in git. The parts are ordinary code in it, and anyone can open the project in their own Studio or in an editor.

For studios and freelancers

The same idea, one level up: a project per client, each with its own brand, and your own library of techniques that you reuse across all of them.
